Poole Town Junior Awards Day - Sept 2024
A pretty poor weather forecast didn't dampen any spirits as the junior members of PTCC came together in Poole Park to celebrate a sensational 2024 season of cricket. Showing customary grit and determination, both players and parents alike paid little heed to the drizzle and joined us in celebrating all of our sucesses this season.
Our current junior section continues to be absolutely fantastic, with one of the jewels in our crown being our outstanding u13 side, who managed to get to the last 8 in the country in the national cup competition. Awards were given out for players at U8 up to U15, and it was lovely to see how much our young cricketers support all successes and cheer for every award winner.
With almost 50 awards handed out on the day, and with members of the adult section out to support some of the young cricketers who had joined their ranks in senior teams this summer, there was plenty to enjoy.
The bar, BBQ and raffle raised over £800 for the club, with the cricket kit kindly donated by our professional alumni the first thing to go as always! As always all proceeds go straight back into the junior section to enable our coaches to carry on the outstanding work that they do.
Thank you to everyone who came to the awards afternoon to celebrate our incredible junior cricketers and well done to all the winners! See you next year for the 2025 awards, and here’s to a successful indoor season.
