Poole Town Junior Awards Day - Sept 2025
For once it was glorious early September sunshine for our Junior Awards Day. Almost 100 young cricketers turned out to celebrate the successes of their peers and to enjoy a fun-packed day of trophies, BBQ food and, for a hardy few, staying on for Chairman's Day too.
Our current junior section continues to be absolutely fantastic, with huge strides forward made by our girls section, who won 3 of the 4 leagues they entered! Awards were given out for players at U8 up to U15, and it was lovely to see how much our young cricketers support all successes and cheer for every award winner. We also enjoyed victories in the U10 and U11 leagues as well as winning 2 cup competitions this year at U10 and U14 levels.
With over 50 awards handed out on the day, and with members of the adult section out to support some of the young cricketers who had joined their ranks in senior teams this summer, there was plenty to enjoy.
The bar, BBQ and raffle raised over £1000 for the club! As always all proceeds go straight back into the junior section to enable our coaches to carry on the outstanding work that they do.
Thank you to everyone who came to the awards afternoon to celebrate our incredible junior cricketers and well done to all the winners! See you next year for the 2025 awards, and here’s to a successful indoor season.
