It’s always great to celebrate the success of our club’s youth system, and Brad Currie is undoubtedly one of club’s greatest success stories. The former Poole Town youth star has recently agreed terms on a contract with County Championship side Sussex.
Brad played several times for Sussex last season whilst on trial and his impressive figures, not least a 6/93 on debut at Lords, have landed him a deal with the club. He’ll now train regularly with names such as Archer, Robinson, Pujara and Smith as he looks to make himself a regular for the south coast side.
Everyone at Poole Town wishes Brad the greatest success in his professional career, none more so than our current crop of junior players who know Brad as the happy, friendly coach that helped make training sessions exciting and instructive. Just don't make us choose between Hampshire and Sussex now that both Currie boys are professionals!
