About The Player
Joe began playing cricket when joined Birkenhead Park Cricket Club as a junior back in the early 1980’s and as a batting all rounder helped them win the Liverpool Competition (Premier League) in 1988. Joe moved to Dorset and joined Bournemouth Cricket Club in 1999 and in 8 seasons captured over 180 wickets in the Southern League at an average of 18 (Also managed 230 maidens in 840 overs).
He went on to play for two seasons for Dorset in the early 2000’s finishing in the top 10 bowlers in the Minor Counties Championship in debut season: Overs 178 Maidens 73 Runs 401 Wickets 22 Average 18.22.
Joe joined Poole Town Cricket Club in 2011 and (so far) the wickets total is 170+ and holds the position of Club Captain and has been the Dorset Over 50’s ECB captain since 2018.
